Congestion is estimated to cost commuters $1.9 billion in time and $1,350 per motorist each year.
CobbRides provides a structure specifically meant to meet the goal of DECREASING the number of Drive Alone Commuters (DACs)
Cobb County is one of the metro Atlanta counties that have been classified by the U.S. EPA as a "serious" ozone non-attainment area for ground-level ozone, a major component of smog.
Nonattainment status means that for many days during smog season-May 1 to September 30-ozone levels are likely to exceed federal and state limits. Poor air quality threatens our economic prosperity, poses risks to human health, and is detrimental to the environment.
Have a "voice" in how your community addresses congestion and air quality.
CobbRides can provide a forum to:
- Exchange ideas
- Share resources and expertise
- Develop, promote, and implement cost-effective employee transportation services and information
- Work hand-in-hand with federal, state and county DOT and engineers to assess your area's needs
Benefits to Employer
- A more productive work force
- Less absenteeism and tardiness
- Increased employee retention
