CobbRides and U.S. Play
want to reward you during 2003
Each quarter, Susie Erath will be working with CobbRides partners encouraging employees to think about carpooling and vanpooling - just for trying an alternative to driving alone, CobbRides will reward your efforts.
Those who carpool at least 8 times during each month and report that activity to Susie@CobbRides.com will be rewarded with gas cards.
At the end of each quarter, CobbRides will host an event at U.S. Play for employees of the Town Center area. There will be hors doeuvres, soft drinks (cash bar), PRIZES, game cards and a drawing for a $100 gift certificate!
CobbRides will introduce you to others who work in the Town Center area and live in your home zip code so that you can explore possibilities of ridesharing.
A vanpool resulting from the nights event, and which is properly formed and verified, will receive $3,000 towards operational costs.

Chastain Road Improvements to begin in 2003
|
|
After five years of studying and planning, improvements on Chastain Road are expected to begin this year. The $9 plus million project will take 2 years to complete.
The improvements will include lane alignment, widening the bridge over I-75 and the bridge over I-575, adding sidewalks and bike lanes to both sides of Chastain Road. All signals will be upgraded and interconnected withcameras that will be connected to Cobb County Traffic Management. The improvements will run from Big Shanty Road to Chastain Lakes Drive, a distance of 1.797 miles.
The chart below illustrates additional projects currently being developed by the TCACID and the estimated project cost to be shared by the TCACID, Cobb County DOT and Georgia DOT. |
