  • CobbRides, a public-private partnership, was begun in 1998 and is a free service provided by the Town Center Area Community Improvement District (CID), designed to address traffic congestion and air quality problems in the area.

        Thanks to our commuters, our 2007 Login for Loot Challenge was a great success.

        Participants logged over 6,000 commutes during the Challenge saving approximately $36,594 and reducing the number of vehicle trips by 2,657.

        Prizes for the 2007 Challenge were awarded at a US Play luncheon on October 3rd. As customary, CobbRides awarded several lucky commuters through random drawings.

        Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to ALL of our participants.

        Grand Prize winner ($1600 in gas cards) - Cynthia Benton of ThyssenKrupp Elevator.
        2nd place winner ($800 in gas cards) - Ted Hayes of Respironics.
        3rd place winner (8" digital photo frame) - Joseph Washington of Aaron Rents.
        4th place winner (8" digital photo frame) - John Bailey of Hapag Lloyd.

        CobbRides welcomes another new partner, Kawasaki Construction Machinery.

        Within days after becoming a partner, Kawasaki started their first CobbRides carpool, had a great turnout at US Play and held a company display. Congratulations!

        Pace Awards recognize the commitment, innovation and leadership of employers that promote commute alternatives across the region.

        Holiday Zipper Returns

        This marks the 8th year CobbRides has brought the Holiday Zipper to Town Center Area employees.

        The Zipper will return on November 26th and will run weekdays through the 21st of December.

        Watch for information regarding Zipper schedules and routes.

        Transportation Coordinators... remember to schedule an event for your company.

        CID/CobbRides New Board Member

        CobbRides welcomes Kelly Keappler, President of Quintus Development.
        Kelly was elected to serve the remaining term of James Daniel, Vice President of Vulcan Materials. James resigned in May after serving on the CID/ CobbRides board for 10 years.

        U.S Representative Phil Gingrey visits Board meeting

        Congressman Phil Gingrey visited the August Town Center CID board meeting to get an update on current CID transportation projects. Congressman Gingrey was impressed with planned improvements and offered the support of his office to help move projects forward.
