Outstanding Commuter |
 |
Let the light shine on this outstanding commuter!
Debbie Ellis of CareCentric was the winner of one
of
our
random Target cards in December and generously decided to
donate her winnings.
Debbie challenged her co-workers to donate items to Toy-for-
Tots instead of doing the usual holiday office exchange. Debbie
started by using her Target card and her co-workers rose to the
challenge. As a result, a large box of toys went to some very
deserving children.
In addition, Debbie and her sister, Cindy Dupont, also
of
CareCentric, might be seen in the March 4th airing of ABC’s
Extreme Home Makeover. Debbie and Cindy each worked a
12-hour shift, donating their time to yet another worthy cause.
What inspiring story about yourself or another CobbRides
participant can you share with our readers?

CID’s SuPurb study reaping results |
 |
In 2005, the Town Center Area CID received a Livable Centers
Initiative (LCI) grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission
(ARC) to study the area between I-75, I-575, Barrett Parkway
and Chastain Road.
The purpose was to identify areas of redevelopment that would
foster a vibrant activity center with live/work/play choices in a
pedestrian environment.
TownPark Village is a result of that study. It will front 13 acres
at Chastain Road and Busbee Parkway. The Village will include
loft-style offices, retail shops and restaurants, 42 luxury
townhouses and a seven story hotel.
The retail and commercial components are expected to be
completed this fall. The completion of the townhouses will be in
early 2008.
